Founder & CEO
With an impressive career history spanning over 25 years, Stuart has provided consulting and solutions expertise and leadership across Technology, Professional Service, and Recruitment businesses in the UK, Europe, and North America for the past 15 years.
Stuart spent his formative years in technology, consulting for Cisco, Fujitsu, BT, and Sky, and led European practices at HP and Getronics in this space. During this time he launched a successful training services company, pioneering and specialising in Cisco which he sold in 2010.
Headhunted by Experis (part of Manpower Group) in 2012 to launch a new division focussing on evolving Recruitment into Professional Services, Stuart was tasked with significantly expanding operating margins, leading across 7 countries.
Following his Experis tenure, Stuart landed with The Adecco Group (the Global leader in HR & workforce solutions) to develop, lead, and execute a solutions strategy for the UK&I business with a combined turnover of £4bn. He successfully created and implemented scalable and robust IR35 solutions to comply with HMRC's Public Sector legislation changes in 2017.
Stuart founded Aardent in December 2018 and began delivering advisory services to the wider Recruitment industry in early 2019.
Since Aardent's inception, Stuart has personally overseen, advised, or guided the successful creation and ongoing success of over 40 Consultancies all originating from within the Recruitment industry.
Collectively these clients have gone on to secure more than £200m in new revenue at much greater profit levels whilst developing far longer and more strategic relationships with customers.
In addition to actively leading Aardent and being the executive consultant, Stuart also spearheaded the creation of an innovative new web-based management platform called WorkSavvy, solely funded and owned in full by Aardent.
Through all his years of advising, building, and running Consultancies, Stuart recognised the critical need to support evolving businesses through technology, WorkSavvy was developed to underpin and automate a lot of the 'heavy lifting' in managing and delivering high-value Consulting services.
